Before
joining PCS in 2002, Neil held a number of top management positions in companies
in various manufacturing industries, including those producing commercial and
engineered pumps, machine tools, textile machinery and hand tools.
During his career he has been responsible for all aspects of
manufacturing operations from procurement of goods worldwide through delivery of
products. His hands-on leadership
of daily activities achieved production flow for on-time performance and
conformance to customer specifications. Neil has led
companies in changing from stagnant entities to revitalized, highly productive
businesses. This included developing cost reduction models, using cell concepts
for high-volume production, and implementing daily disciplines to obtain
“class A” MRP status. He has also directed many activities leading to
successful implementations of Flexible Manufacturing Systems, MRP II, Automatic
Storage and Retrieval Systems, Statistical Process Control, and Manufacturing
Cells. Neil planned and managed a
new plant expansion that established the world’s most modern pump
manufacturing facility. He
also served as liaison for establishing a satellite operation in India. His development of collaborative relationships, both
internally and with customers, has increased the success of numerous product
development programs. In addition
to his background in operations, Neil served in many capacities in sales
including the development of new markets in China, Thailand, and Korea. |
